Kanoon Magnet School offers World Language instruction in Spanish for all grade levels and a maintenance bilingual program designed to foster students' development as fully bilingual individuals. Kanoon partners with the UIC Parent Literacy Program, FLAME, The General Woods Boys and Girls Club, and GEAR UP. Students have won the Daniel Murphy Scholarship and teachers have earned Rochelle Lee awards and Education Foundation grants, and have been honored as National Association of Bilinbual Education presenters.

"Our library should truly be the happiest, most inviting space in the school. Our space has great potential but needs improvements to provide our children with the kind of dynamic literacy environment that they need and deserve."
